The nose piercings

The nose piercings are nowadays among the most popular. Historically, we can see it as a common adornment, for example, in India, Africa, Nepal, or Australian natives. The first mention of nose piercing dates back more than 4000 years ago, when it is often of religious or ritual importance. For the production of jewelry for nose piercing, materials used at the time were used, such as bronze, gold or silver.

Nowadays, the most used metal for the manufacture of piercing nose jewelry is the 316L surgical steel in various color modifications, which is popular for its good anticorrosive properties and low cost. The popularity of titanium, which is by its properties such as hardness, about half the weight lighter than the 316L steel, and the very good acceptance of body tissues is a much more suitable material, but at a higher price. The growing popularity of nose piercing in Europe and America dates back to the early 1980s, with the punk movement expanding beyond its reach.

The nose piercings have been so domesticated

The nose piercings have been so domesticated to the extent that they are tolerated in social circles, most employers and schools as opposed to other types of piercing or tattooing. Often, older women, for whom it is usually the only piercing adornment, often decide for him.

The basic jewel for piercing the nose is the so-called nostril, which is straight or U-shaped, a hooked piece of wire, often ended with a ball or a stone. It can be made of 316L, titanium, bioplastic, acrylic, or flexible bioflex. The best selling version of the nose piercing is the so-called clove (photo 1). This is an unfinished ring that has a plate on one side. After inserting the jewelery into the nose, the plaque remains invisible inside the nasal cavity, the outside of the jewelery acts as a solid ring (photo 2). This jewel is particularly popular for very easy insertion when it is not necessary to use piercing pliers and somehow stretch the ring. In recent years, the use of various rings, segments, or specially crafted jewelery has grown, for example, for septum piercing when it comes to different rings often planted with a number of stones with a special clip for easy insertion.

The pain of the nose piercing is not significant

The pain of the nose piercing is not significant. Injection is performed with a cannula needle and is a very fast procedure. Unfortunately, even today, we can meet unqualified, often medical, workplaces in which nose piercings shoot, which is a method that is unhealthy to the tissue. Healing usually takes place without complications and without significant external signs. From the beginning, redness may occur around the injection, usually within 1-2 mm. In any case, we do not recommend this place to mask with a powder or makeup that could negatively affect the healing of the piercing and not lubricate with calcium ointment, because then it tends to wet. During healing, care should be taken to keep the jewelery out of order and not check it and regularly clean the jewelery and the surroundings from the dry strokes. We always recommend wetting instead of sprouts and do not try to remove them dry and violently. Ideal for purification, we have proven a sea salt spray to moisten the nasal mucosa. If healing proceeds as a standard, we do not recommend nose piercing until full healing is removed. The hole is very fast and it is often difficult to put the piercing back on. On the first replacement for another jewel, we recommend going to your piercer, who should be able to assess whether the time is right for the replacement. Before this replacement, it is usually necessary to wait for several months until full healing. We often have questions about whether your scar will stay on the scar after the piercing of your nose, so most women choose the weakest diameter of piercing jewelry, most often 0.8mm. Most people have a hole in the piercing so much that it is impossible to trace where they were placed.

The most common piercing of the present day is Nostril (photo 2, 4, 5, 6) where the puncture is placed on the left or right side of the nose. The popularity of Septum (photo 3) is increasing, while Nasallang, Austin bar, Nasal tip (Rhino), Mantis, etc. are rarely encountered.

Nipple piercing

Nipple piercing

Nipple piercing is again very popular, especially for young women. Recently, the demand for its implementation is even more common than the belly piercing. Some ladies want to have piercings of both nipples so that everything is pretty symmetrical, others will only be satisfied with one pierced nipple. Today we show the most common types of piercing jewelry for nipple piercings and the most common designs.

The most suitable jewel in a fresh nipple piercing is clearly a dumbbell or Barbell (photo 1), made of titanium. Ideally, only the material with a diameter of 1.6 mm is used for fresh nipple piercing. Thin material is inappropriate because it is uncomfortable to wear and the body can in exceptional cases completely eliminate it. The length of the dumbbell always depends on the specific shape and size of the nipple, usually ranging in men from 10mm to 12mm and in women from 14mm to 18mm. The nipple needs to be measured in the quiescent state and used with about 3-4 millimeters longer rod. For cleaning and good healing, you should always choose a longer stick of piercing jewelry, after healing the piercing changes to shorter. Healing can sometimes take several months. Elderly women and children of children usually have far more suitable nipples to perform this type of piercing, and hence the healing time is significantly shorter.

After healing, of course, the dumbbell can be replaced for many types of other piercings and also stretched to the extreme diameters. Various designs of BCR rings (photo 2), horseshoes, segments, and special jewelery specially made for nipple piercing (photo 3 and 4) are commonly used. Larger diameters use lighter materials such as acrylic or titanium because of the weight. Although this is not common, there are users who have even tunnels left in the nipples, but they have to be made to order. Classic in-ear tunnels are not used because they are not wide enough. Men are predominantly nipple stretching, women are dominated by various ornaments and jewelry often with plenty of glittering stones. Since the nipple piercings are back to fashion, the number of jewelery from the piercing manufacturers increases proportionally.

Women often ask if their nipple piercings will affect during pregnancy. In most cases, it is necessary to take the piercing at the time of breastfeeding, in pregnancy the piercing itself does not matter much. In some cases, you can put the jewelery back on the end of the breastfeeding process, in most cases the hole is very fast when you remove the jewelery and you need to re-insert the jewelery.

There are plenty of women who have so-called invisted nipples. It is often a congenital deformation of the breast where the center of the nipple is not protruding as it is usual, but it is sunken inside (photo 5). Someone may feel unsteady and breastfeeding problems may also occur. Women often perceive this minor deviation very intensely, desperate and undergoing surgical procedures to change the appearance of their nipples. In most cases, simple nipple piercing can help them. When the piercing jewel is inserted properly, the center of the nipple is drawn outwards and the nipple looks completely normal (photo 6). The application of piercing is complex in this case and more experience is needed, the result achieved is usually much better and incomparably cheaper than surgery.

With piercing of the nipple, even in the several years of healed piercing, it may happen that the piercing is irritated, for example, by the penetration of some dirt, or by marking the jewelery of clothing. The area around the piercing will usually swell and swell. It is often necessary to proceed in such cases as if the piercing was completely fresh and often more complicated to replace the jeweler after a simple titan dumbbell and wait until the area around the piercing calms down again.

The stretching of the holes in the ear

The stretching of the holes in the ear lobes has been done in ancient times, and even nowadays it is again very popular and popular. This article tells you how to stretch your ear lobes and how to take care of them later.

There are countless different types, shapes and sizes of tunnels, plugs, and expanders that can be used in extended earhooks. It is made of various metals and their alloys such as Stainless Steel 316L, titanium, silver, gold, bronze, glass, stone, plastics, but also organic materials such as wood, horn, bone or pearl.

Ideal is to start stretching very well healed holes and proceed very slowly, at most 1mm per month. For stretching the holes in the ear lobes, it is essential that they fit, preferably at the center of the earlobe. A high-pitched hole can be more difficult to stretch and much longer, while the low-positioned can be stretched very quickly, but only in smaller dimensions, and there is also a risk of tearing the earlobe in this case.

Magnification of the holes

Magnification of the holes can be done with the help of different spreads (straight flat cones or curved spirals that are gradually expanding) as well as piercing earrings, which are gradually exchanged for a stronger. We recommend increasing the diameter by a maximum of 1mm per month. This process of changing piercing earrings (eg, BCR rings) is gradually becoming more powerful, and is the best way to start spreading classic holes. If surgical steel rings are used, their weight is also advantageous in this case, which will help to make the holes better and faster.

Most people want to stretch the holes as quickly as possible, but if it does not progress very slowly, it can damage the skin, which, due to rapid stretching, can not be released sufficiently, and the pressure that the expander can exert on this skin may cause it to be pushed out, ear lobe, or cracking it. Often, such damage is irreversible, but in this case it is ideal not to continue to stretch, but instead to replace the expander with a smaller one, preferably remove it completely for some time and allow the pin to retract to a smaller size and resume the next stretching until complete healing and very slowly and carefully.

Any porous or organic earrings are not suitable for any injury or hole damage. It is necessary to choose a material that is easy to clean and disinfect. When stretching, it is always necessary to lubricate the earring or spreader, preferably with white medical petroleum jelly, but if the holes are not stretched during stretching, it is advisable not to use any healing ointments or creams, but to proceed as in the healing of a new piercing (see article ” piercing “) and take care of increased hygiene due to the risk of possible infection.

Tunnels and Plugs

All tunnels and plows need to be maintained and regularly cleaned or disinfected. Each material requires different maintenance. Metal jewelery must be removed at least every two days, thoroughly washed with soap and water and cleaned from the sebum that is formed and settled here. For metal and glass tunnels, expanders or plugs it can be used to clean various disinfections as they do not damage the surface.

If the metal tunnels or plows are not regularly cleaned, the grease that is deposited on them will start to smell very unpleasantly. Similarly, acrylic and silicone tunnels, plows and expanders need to be cleaned, but it is not appropriate to use any alcohol disinfectants when cleaning them, as they may be damaged. The advantage of silicone tunnels is their flexibility and ease of use.

They can also be used very well when stretching, as the silicone tunnel can be squeezed lightly and inserted into the holes of a smaller size, where it again turns off and thus extends the hole slowly. However, even in such a way of stretching, it is necessary to proceed very slowly so as not to damage the holes.

Very popular are tunnels and plows of various organic materials for common wearing into expanded holes. However, they must also be regularly removed and cleaned (at least once every three days), but they are much less sebum on the metal and almost do not smell. It is ideal to use soapy water to clean them, then thoroughly dry and lubricate with linseed oil or white medical grease. It is not advisable to use any alcohol disinfection, as with acrylic or silicone, as this may damage the material.

Stretching ears

The stretching of the holes in the earlobes is very common today, but it is also important to tell what to do if someone decides not to carry this type of piercing.

If the hole is stretched very slowly and does not stretch when it is damaged, it is more likely to retract to its original size before stretching. It also depends on how long the ear lobe was stretched and the size. It is possible to completely retract the hole that has been stretched to 20 mm, but it is rather exceptions, in most cases, the holes
